To handle such extreme volume levels, the SPLs have a reinforced fibrous pulp cones, oversized rigid dust domes, and extra high-roll polyether foam surrounds. The red Kapton formers, dual high-temp copper voice coils, and high emissivity coatings all contribute to huge power handling and head-bashing SPL. Getting LOUD is what SPL subwoofers are all about; so if you want a subwoofer that'll scare your neighbor's kids, turn to SPL.
